Pauline Barratt is a graduate of the University of Auckland who was admitted to the New Zealand Bar in 1986. She is a partner in the Auckland law firm Jones Fee, where she practices in the areas of transportation law, marine insurance, Admiralty law and international trade, representing freight forwarders, domestic carriers, marine insurers, customs brokers, shipping agents, importers and exporters. As well, Pauline was until 2006 a Government-appointed member of the board of Maritime New Zealand, New Zealand’s maritime safety agency; and she is the author of the text “Marine Insurance” which was published as part of the Laws of New Zealand series.
Pauline is a supporting member of the Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Federation of New Zealand, a Charter Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a member of the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand.
