Right to destroy
CIFFA Section 12 (C)
Goods which in the opinion of the Company or the person who has custody or possession thereof are or may become dangerous and present a hazard may at any time or place be unloaded, destroyed or rendered harmless without liability on the part of the Company.
NSAB Section 7.
If the risk of depreciation of goods already taken over arises or, if by reason of the nature of the goods, there is a danger to persons, property or to the environment, and the customer cannot be reached, or should he not, upon being requested to remove the goods, arrange to do so, the freight forwarder may take appropriate measures in respect of the goods, and, if necessary, sell the goods in an appropriate manner.

Peter Jones' Commentary:
Most international transport conventions give to a carrier the right to destroy goods that have become dangerous, meaning that apart from the characteristic of being dangerous, they present an immediate risk. Rather than rely upon international conventions that may or may not apply to a forwarder, standard trading conditions should include the same right.
